it was ok, visited the spa while staying at the hotel and wanted to get some time for relaxation and unwinding. it was a nice overall experience, but the main downside was that even if there are two separate areas for all guests (including children) & Adults Only, all the families were staying with their children in the Adults Only zone and no one did anything about it (even when specifically asked about it - they just shrug their shoulders and said there is nothing they can do, if this is how people choose to disregard the spa rules :/
had a bit of luck though - the children area as pretty empty (as almost everyone was staying at the Adult Only floor), so could get a bit of chill and relaxation; however, if i'd have to pay just to come to the spa and have this experience - totally frustrating and not worth it (what's the point of having the rules written down everywhere if they're not followed, nor enforced?! just remove them, and let everyone do whatever they please)

Piscine ok, la fel și sauna.
Singurul minus e ca, nu prinzi sejlong deoarece lumea le acopera de dimineata si isi lasă prosopul pe șezlong fara sa stea in preajma.
Un minus mare deoarece trebuie sa le lași pe niște scaune.
Mare dezorganizare in privința asta.

Dezamăgitor este...la piscina pentru că șezlongurile sunt insuficiente, am stat destul de mult cu prosoapele în brate, pana când s a eliberat unul.
Acum 5 ani când am venit prima data ,la intrare în spa dădeam cartela și primeam prosoapele , acum toată lumea se înghesuie la ora 9 să ocupe șezlongurile.

Un SPA minunat cu multe facilități de la apa sarata la jacuzzi exterior, de la sauna umeda si uscata la piscină exterioară, de la bar cu terasa la sali pentru tratamente si masaj. Nu ai cum sa te plictisești aici dar pentru ca perfecțiunea nu exista si intotdeauna vine un dar personalul din zona SPA daca nu a avut parte de instruire in munca cu oamenii (clienti, oaspeti, etc) ar trebui sa aiba parte urgent. Unii, nu toti ? se comporta de parca am venit peste ei in casa si ii deranjam, altii, nu toti ? nu stiu sa vorbeasca, sa calmeze, sa aplaneze, sa rezolve situatiile care apar inevitabil in cursul unei zilei.
In rest numai de bine, aglomeratie ca peste tot unde este bine, mici reparatii pe alocuri.
Stelele sunt pentru cei care se streseaza in fiecare zi sa tina locul asta functional nu pentru cei care “timpul trece, leafa merge” ?

The adults spa is great. The kids friendly spa could use a bit of adjustment to make it more kids friendly.

One of the major frustrations is the classic "towel reservation" issue at the spa. Despite opening at 9 AM, all the sunbeds are occupied with towels within 5 minutes and remain reserved for the entire day, even when the owners come and go intermittently. There are a decent number of sunbeds, but expect to find none available at any time of the day.
The fitness space is small yet sufficient for the hotel’s needs.

The spa area is well-equipped, but there’s no dry seating available throughout the day, as all spaces are taken by unused towels—a typical issue in Balkan spas.

Grandsanterra Spa in Balvanyos is a tranquil oasis nestled in nature. The serene ambiance, coupled with attentive staff and top-notch facilities, creates a perfect retreat. The thermal pools offer a blissful soak with stunning views. A brief visit left me feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Highly recommend for those seeking a peaceful wellness escape.
