Dr. Sam was an integral part of helping our relationship grow and flourish. It was my first time seeking couples counseling and therapy. My partner and I came in with a good attitude and high level of emotional intelligence and communication skills, but we came away even better equipped to handle the pitfalls of life that most if not all couples will face.

I say this because I truly believe ALL people and couples can benefit from some professional expertise. We can all, always, be better at the vast array of skills life requires of us. Understanding why we feel or think a certain way and why and how others experience the world we live in will benefit every facet of our life.

With Dr. Sam and her colleagues, you are afforded a holistic approach to therapy. It’s not just talking and expressing, as important as that is. There’s a biological portion that she also addresses with technology like neorofeedback and non-medicinal, natural supplements that allows every aspect of our psyche to be tackled and fixed.

I happily recommend anyone to meet with Dr. Sam. There are solutions to almost all of life’s problems. This is especially true when you are able to better understand yourself and adopt the healthiest perception of the life around you that you can. Best of luck!

loved my sessions with Stephanie (only reason for any stars)- however, the billing department messed up everything from the beginning. They input my insurance wrong, and I tried telling them something was wrong in month 1 when 0 claims were showing up on my insurance portal. They insisted everything was fine and that it was just due to delays. 3-4 months into sessions, they called to tell me they had entered the wrong information and had me fill out the wrong forms when I first started and they needed to correct everything. This was the start of a (now) year long nightmare. I have spent countless hours/days trying to resolve this and recently, they called me and told me that they were taking legal action against me for insurance fraud-- claiming I received checks, cashed them and didn't pay them what I received. I spent 3 hours on the phone with my insurance company, where they went through every claim and every check I've received that's been cashed. As expected, it checks out with what I *did* pay and on top of that, it was uncovered that there were 8 claims that were paid directly to the therapist office but that had not been disclosed to me at any point by the therapist office. If there is insurance fraud going on, it's internally. The irony in the fact that I sought out therapy to better my life and reduce my anxiety and stress, just to have it be one of the biggest stress inducers I've experienced. I had, early on, recommended this office to my friend and she had a similar experience where they also messed up her billing and told her she'd have to pay one thing with insurance taking care of the rest, just to later discover they were wrong and she was forced to pay more. Avoid avoid avoid. It's not worth the financial confusion and "legal action" they'll take against you to cover up their own mistakes.

I was new to therapy when I found this practice and Stephanie Shapiro. I was unsure where to start or how to align what it was I was looking to accomplish with a therapist. From the beginning of my journey, the office staff was considerate and thoughtful in placing me with Stephanie.

Stephanie is knowledgeable and compassionate. Her authentic approach makes for a comfortable environment where you can truly discuss any feelings openly and honestly. She takes the time to set intentional goals and is mindful of reaching them throughout every session. Even on the days I'm unsure of what to bring, she's cognizant of where we left off the session prior and offers a safe space for dialogue to flow freely.

I understand how the thought of therapy and the weight of it all can feel a bit overwhelming, but with Stephanie, the journey has been enjoyable, even on the harder days.
